Passion.io Review and Pricing 2026: An Honest Look at the Numbers
Passion.io is one of the most established creator app platforms and the pricing reflects it. Here is what each plan actually costs, which tier gets you into the App Store, and who should and should not be paying for it.
Date Published

TL;DR
• Passion.io has three published plans plus a custom tier. Launch, Scale, Expand and Passion Plus.
• Billed monthly it is $149 a month, $349 a month and $699 a month. Billed annually it is $119 a month, $279 a month and $599 a month, roughly a 20% saving.
• The detail most reviews get wrong is which plan gets you into the app stores. App Store listing appears on Expand at $599 a month billed annually. Launch and Scale do not include it.
• Passion Plus, the custom priced tier, is the only plan where Passion.io submits the app for you and assigns a success manager.
• Passion.io is a mature product with a large customer base and a 4.5 star Trustpilot rating. This is not a review that tells you it is bad.
• It is a review that says the entry price is high for a coach who has not validated an offer yet.
What Passion.io actually charges
Verified on the Passion.io pricing page in September 2026, checking both the monthly and annual toggles.
Launch. $149 a month billed monthly, or $119 a month billed once yearly. Covers creating your own app, basic integrations, in app search, one to one messaging, basic and group communities, basic drip content, course pricing from $0 to $10k, email support, and 3,000 messages of conversational AI.
Scale. $349 a month billed monthly, or $279 a month billed once yearly. Everything in Launch plus Zapier integrations, advanced DMs and messages, advanced communities and chats, advanced drip content, your own branding, chat support, and 7,500 AI messages.
Expand. $699 a month billed monthly, or $599 a month billed once yearly. Everything in Scale plus App Store listing, Apple and Google Pay support, unlimited users and products, unlimited groups and communities, unlimited videos, unlimited push notifications, offline mode, video call support, and 20,000 AI messages.
Passion Plus. Custom pricing on request. Everything in Expand plus custom analytics, fast content migration, Passion.io submitting your app for you, one to one support from a success manager, a marketing and growth coach, and 60,000 AI messages.
Pricing, checked September 2026.
If you have read other Passion.io pricing articles, you may have seen Scale quoted at $299 a month monthly and $239 a month annually. Those figures did not match the live pricing page when checked. This is a good argument for always reading the vendor's own page.
Reading the plan ladder honestly
Two details in that ladder deserve more attention than they usually get.
Your own branding starts at Scale. On Launch at $119 a month you are creating your own app, but "your own branding" is listed as a Scale feature. If the entire reason you are buying a creator app platform is that you want the thing to look like yours, the real entry price is $279 a month billed annually, not $119.
The App Store listing starts at Expand. This is the big one. Launch and Scale deliver an app experience your audience reaches without a native store listing. Getting your app actually listed in the Apple App Store and Google Play is an Expand feature at $599 a month billed annually, or $699 a month if you pay monthly.
So the honest read of the ladder is this. If what you want is a branded app your clients download from the App Store, Passion.io costs $599 a month billed annually. That is $7,188 a year before you sell anything.
That is not a scandal. It is a real product with real infrastructure behind it and 15,000 plus apps launched by their own count. But it means the shopping comparison people make, "Passion.io starts at $119 a month", is comparing the wrong thing.
The fees on top
Two categories of cost sit outside the subscription and they apply to every platform in this category, not just Passion.io.
Developer accounts. The Apple Developer Program is $99 a year and Google Play charges a one time $25 registration fee. Unavoidable for anyone shipping a native app anywhere.
Payment fees. PassionPayments is reported to take a platform fee on each sale, scaling from 3.9% on Launch down to 1.9% on Passion Plus, stacked on top of standard Apple, Google and Stripe processing. If accurate, that is meaningful. A 3.9% platform fee on a $200,000 year is $7,800, roughly doubling what you thought the platform cost.
What Passion.io does well
It would be dishonest to write this section thin.
Passion.io has been doing this longer than most and it shows in the product depth. Drip content, group communities, offline mode, push notifications, video call support and a well developed AI layer are not trivial to build. The conversational AI allowance and the context aware coach feature are ahead of where most competitors are.
The Trustpilot rating sits at 4.5 stars, which for a platform at this price point and volume is a real signal. Creators are not, on the whole, unhappy.
If you are an established creator with an audience already paying you, and $599 a month is a rounding error against your revenue, Passion.io is a defensible choice and you will not be let down by the product.

The honest verdict, including when not to choose KLIQ
Choose Passion.io if the AI layer is what you are buying. The conversational AI allowance and context aware coach are the most developed of anything in this category and KLIQ does not have an equivalent. If you want an AI coach inside your app, Passion.io is the answer and we would rather point you there than waste your time.
Choose Passion.io if you are already at scale and want the deepest feature set with a success manager attached. Passion Plus with a named contact and a growth coach is a real service, and at that level the subscription is not the deciding factor.
Do not choose Passion.io if you have not validated the offer yet. Committing $599 a month annually to get an App Store listing before you know whether people will pay for the programme is the most common expensive mistake in this category. Test the offer somewhere cheap first. That advice holds whether or not you ever look at KLIQ.
Do not choose KLIQ if conversational AI inside the app is your priority. We do not have it and Passion.io does.
Do not choose KLIQ if you need Zapier depth and a large integrations surface today. Check with us on what is supported before assuming.
Consider KLIQ if the App Store listing is the thing you actually want and $599 a month is not a number your business can carry yet. A branded KLIQ app starts at $149 a month, and if you want to prove the offer before committing to an app at all, Web Spaces start at $29 a month. The first 14 days are free, the first month is £1, and migration is free, so testing the switch does not mean paying two platforms at once.
